My advice to the next generation:
Believe in something! Anything at all! It doesn’t have to be God or religion. It can be fate, love, or family.
Just make sure you believe with everything you’ve got. Give it you’re all. Trust me it’ll make a difference.
Find something that brings you happiness at least once a day.
It can be a friend, reading, coffee, or the sound of a bird chirping. Once again what it is doesn’t matter. Just so long as you are happy.
Find someone who makes you happy!
A boyfriend, a girlfriend, your best friend, your sister, your brother. As always it doesn’t matter who.
But if they can make you happy, hold on to them!
Listen! To absolutely everything!
Well written debates, music, nature, your best friend.
Listen to things you never would have thought to listen to, maybe you’ll hear something important.
Take pictures.
Sunsets, Family, Friends, Whatever makes you happy. Take pictures to remember it always.
Write. Not all the time, and not about everything. Write when you don’t know what else to do with your thoughts or feelings. Put them on paper, you’d be amazed the clarity it brings.
Read! Anything and everything that you can get your hands on! Books, magazines, newspaper, flyers, the shampoo bottle. Read it all! It makes you wiser!
Love, now that’s a tough one. Love is different for every person, but it’s also essential. Love with all your heart. Don’t be afraid of it. It may bring you pain and sadness, but I promise it also brings you peace and happiness.
Forgive. This is also a tough one. I know it seems really hard to do sometimes, but it’s essential. It really does make the world go round.
Live. Don’t spend your life locked up in a room somewhere. Live it. Run, jump, play, discover. Eat, drink, and be merry. Try new things, go to new places, meet new people. This one is really important.
